OUR WORK
The San Diego Green New Deal Alliance is dedicated to achieving a zero carbon San Diego region by 2035 in a way that creates good union jobs and more just communities.
To achieve this, we have three key initiatives:
BUILD A DIVERSE AND INTERSECTIONAL CLIMATE MOVEMENT
Climate justice is inextricably linked to racial, economic, and social justice. We must center the perspectives of those most impacted by the climate emergency and communities that have been traditionally excluded from decision making.
CHAMPION A JUST TRANSITION AND THE GREENING OF EXISTING JOBS
As we transition to a Zero Carbon economy, we must ensure that workers and working class communities of color are protected and benefit from this new economy.
FIGHT FOR EQUITABLE ZERO CARBON POLICY
We’re fighting to realize the vision of a San Diego Green New Deal, one policy at a time. San Diego can and must lead efforts to achieve a livable future in a way that creates good jobs and more just and sustainable communities.
